YouTube Video Downloader v1.2.1
BIG NEWS: The downloader now uses an installer for both macOS and Windows
The latest release brings UI improvements, including adaptive main window positioning and dialog alignment for an enhanced user experience. Users can now customize thumbnail download formats and access the development website through a new clickable icon. The release also addresses bugs, such as ffmpeg location not being found and URL recognition for YouTube shorts. Codebase refinements involve a switch to Java version 21 and adjustments to command-line arguments. This release emphasizes functionality, UI enhancements, and codebase optimization.
Note: Releases before v1.2.1 (this release) are runnable by executing the jar with Java 8. Release v1.2.1 and later will be packaged as an installer and thus will include Java runtime, meaning that you, as the user, only need to use the installer to download a functional version of the application.
