Release list
1.0.1: Increased Connection Timeout
This is a maintenance release where we increased the waiting timeout for establishing connections to 60 seconds.
The reason is that we saw in very rare occasions that a TLS handshake can take longer than the current 10 seconds and increasing the timeout allows the connection to recover.
We also fixed a broken integration test and improved the diagnostics around it.
Bugfixes
Refactoring
- 105: Moved design and system requirements into their own subdirectory.
1.0.0: TLS Certificate Fingerprint Pinning
Summary
This release adds optional TLS certificate fingerprint pinning for database connections.
This release updates all dependencies on top of 0.2.1. We also decided to increase the version number of the driver to 1.0.0, since all basic features are now available.
We also now pin the Ubuntu version to 24.04 in the CI build.
Breaking change: Support for Exasol 7.x has been removed.
Features
- #100: Add TLS certificate fingerprint pinning.
Refactoring
- #97: Updated dependencies on 0.2.1
Bugfixes
- #100: Improved handling and error reporting for WebSocket receive timeouts.
0.2.1: Upgrade to Exasol 8.29.6
Summary
This release updates integration tests to additionally use Exasol version 8.27.0.
When running integration tests with luarocks test or busted, the environment variable EXASOL_HOST now has a default value localhost to make running tests more convenient.
If you run local tests, the Exasol DB is most likely set up to forward the default database port to the localhost anyway.
Additionally, coverage checks are now restricted to selected busted configurations. For example, it does not make sense to run with coverage on repeated tests.
Integration test now succeeds with TLS 1.3 in addition to TLS 1.2 (version 8.18.0)
