I believe this is a bug, not a feature request
Steps to reproduce ( I am on Win10 using the Excalidraw plugin inside Obsidian):
Generate image with a clipping/snipping/screenshot tool.
Copy image straight to system clipboard. In Snipping Tool there is a button "Copy" which does this.
Open Obsidian, go to any Excalidraw drawing.
Right Click with mouse to open Right Click Menu.
Select Paste.
Result:
Either nothing appears or any previously copied text will appear.
Workaround:
CTRL + v
Inside the Excalidraw drawing using the hotkey CTRL + v will easily Paste the image into the drawing.
Comments:
I have no complaints about the CTRL + v workflow, I was simply stuck thinking that since the Right Click->Paste didn't work that pasting an image from the clipboard was not yet implemented in Excalidraw so I have misguidedly been saving clipped/snipped images to disk and then dragging those images into Obsidian and then into Excalidraw.
I could not test this on other systems so it very well may be my setup specifically that I have broken.
