The Enterprise PDF flow is now draft → review → finalize:

  • Free watermarked drafts — create_classification_pdf with draft: true (REST ?draft=1) renders a preview watermarked "DRAFT — NOT FINAL" on every page. No credit consumed, nothing stored. Re-draft as many times as you need.
  • Review before any charge — the skill walks the user through the document-control block (company, CAGE attribution), exhibits, parties, and the final ECCN on the draft, applies corrections, and only renders the official PDF after an explicit "finalize" approval. Exactly one credit, exactly one final.
  • Download links — every render returns a one-hour download link, so surfaces that can't accept PDF bytes in chat (claude.ai web) still deliver the document. Finals are also retained in the dashboard vault when document storage is on.
  • Setup awareness — exchek-classify offers to run exchek-setup (engine config + free/enterprise edition choice) when setup hasn't been run on file-access surfaces.
