CSS Tree Inspector 1.6.2 adds a dedicated HTML tree panel, page highlighting on hover, and CSS source attribution.
- Hover highlights the corresponding page element and scrolls only fully offscreen targets into view. Highlights clear when leaving the tree or hiding the panel and are excluded from reports.
- Computed CSS includes source references and selectors where attribution is supported. Authored state and conditional rules retain sources, including inactive ::before and ::after rules.
- outerHTML appears before additional CSS data. Both embedded and combined JSON preserve source references.
- The distribution includes the dedicated panel, Elements sidebar, and updated inspection helpers.
JSON compatibility: computed property strings are now objects. Read node.computedCSS.color.value instead of node.computedCSS.color. Resolve computedCSSRef through styleDefinitions first when applicable. Exact source line numbers are not provided; uncertain computed attribution omits source fields.
Validation: 1.6.2 static checks and distribution/source verification passed. The preceding development build passed 201 browser assertions. The final 1.6.2 browser rerun and interactive human checklist remain unconfirmed; see docs/TESTING.md.
Installation: extract css-tree-inspector-1.6.2.zip, then load its manifest folder using Chrome Extensions > Developer mode > Load unpacked. Reload the extension and reopen DevTools when updating.
