Horadrim 2.0.0
Horadrim
Diablo II: Resurrected multi-instance launcher
Download, connect, and launch multiple D2R clients on one PC — Battle.net and Steam — without external handle tools or saved account data.
What it is
Horadrim is a Windows launcher for running multiple Diablo II: Resurrected instances side by side. Profiles live in a simple list: pick accounts, launch or stop them together, organize with groups and tags, and keep mods, Direct Data, and launch options per profile.
Built for people who want to install and go — one self-contained exe, guided Battle.net connect, native multiboxing, optional plugins, and no dependency on third-party handle utilities.
Features
Easy to run
- Download and go — single self-contained
Horadrim.exe; no .NET install on the target PC - List-first UI — add profiles, multi-select, launch/stop, and manage everything from one home screen
- Groups & tags — organize accounts (e.g. Main / Fillers), filter the list, and keep notes private to Horadrim
- Tray-friendly — optional minimize / close to tray so Horadrim stays available for hotkeys; use Exit on the tray icon to fully quit
Battle.net & Steam
- Both platforms — per-profile Battle.net or Steam boxing on the same PC
- Guided Battle.net connect — embedded sign-in captures a long-lived session token; MFA stays with you
- No cloud account vault — credentials and tokens stay on your machine (DPAPI-protected where stored); nothing is uploaded to Horadrim servers
- Regions at a glance — Americas / Europe / Asia with quick prev/next on the home list
Safe multiboxing
- Native instance unlock — closes D2R’s “other instances” lock itself; no
handle64or external tools - Isolated boxes — each profile runs as its own local Windows user with its own game settings snapshot
- Duplicate launch guard — won’t start the same profile twice by accident
- Crash relaunch — optional automatic reopen when a session dies (can stay in the background so focus isn’t stolen)
- Separate taskbar buttons — optional per-instance taskbar entries instead of one grouped D2R icon
Mods & Direct Data
- Packs ↔ Direct switch — choose mod packs (
-mod) or unpacked Direct (-direct) per profile; they are mutually exclusive (Direct wins if both were somehow set) - Shared mod library — import
.zip/.mpq/ folders; enable and order packs per profile (top of the list wins on conflicts) - Built-in packs — on first launch Horadrim adds Skip Intro Videos and Tiny Mod - Reduce CPU Usage to the library (enable them per profile like any other pack)
- Multi-option archives — if a zip has several variant folders (e.g. black / fine / red), Horadrim asks which ones to add as separate packs
- Same characters with or without mods — Horadrim
-modpacks usesavepath: "../"so local chars/settings stay in the box Saved Games root (not undermods\hrm_…) - Version stamps on publish — packs get a matching
data/global/dataversionbuild.txt(vanilla-style digits) and lowercasedata\paths so D2R’s version check is less likely to false-trip - Version health — stale stamps show a red warning (click to align); amber means the game was patched since import
- Path check on publish — after merging packs, Horadrim warns if overlay files sit outside the usual D2R roots (
data\,hd\,local\,global\) - In-app mod browser — browse Nexus, Phrozen Keep, D2R Modding, and more; downloads show progress, keep the original filename, and warn before overwriting duplicates; imports land in your library automatically; WebView2 loads uBlock Origin Lite (GPL-3.0, cached under AppData) for ad filtering
- Automatic
-txt/ windowed —-txtis applied when packs or Direct need it;-wis applied when you’ve saved a window layout (no separate toggle clutter) -directData support — one-time Casc unpack (~40–45 GB) for unpacked Data workflows, with version awareness after game updates
Plugins & companions
- Optional plugins — drop DLLs under
%AppData%\Horadrim\plugins\{id}\; Horadrim loads them on startup - Macros plugin — download
Horadrim-Plugins-*.zipfrom Releases for Next Game, Pre-Tele, and key macros (extract intoplugins\, then restart) - Companion API — opt-in local HTTP (
127.0.0.1) so separate tools can attach to running profiles without receiving emails, passwords, or Battle.net tokens (off by default in Settings)
Tooling efficiency
- Focus hotkeys — jump between clients with global shortcuts (default Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right) and optional per-profile hotkeys
- Window layouts — grid, side-by-side, stacked, cascade; save and restore positions
- Launch options — mute (
-ns), freeform extra args, and per-profile install path overrides; mods/Direct managed from the Data window
Requirements
| Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|
| Windows 10 or 11 | 64-bit |
| Diablo II: Resurrected | Battle.net and/or Steam install (auto-detected when possible) |
| WebView2 Runtime | Used for Battle.net Connect and the mod browser; usually already installed on Windows 11 |
| Administrator (UAC) | Required for native multi-instance handle work — expect an elevation prompt when starting Horadrim |
| Disk (optional) | ~40–45 GB free if you prepare unpacked Data for -direct |
The published build is self-contained. You do not need the .NET SDK to run Horadrim.
Quick start
- Download
Horadrim.exefrom Releases (optional:Horadrim-Plugins-*.zipfor Macros). - Run
Horadrim.exeand approve the UAC prompt. For plugins, extract the zip into%AppData%\Horadrim\plugins\(so you get e.g.plugins\Horadrim.Macros\Horadrim.Macros.dll) then restart. - Add a profile → choose Battle.net or Steam.
- Battle.net: Connect once (complete MFA if asked). Launch injects the stored session and starts the client.
- Steam: Open Steam / Connect for that box, sign in with Remember me, then launch.
- Open Mods / Direct on a profile when you need packs or unpacked Data; pick Packs or Direct, not both.
- Select one or more profiles and hit Launch.
Profiles, settings, mods, plugins, and logs live under:
%AppData%\Horadrim\
Moving or deleting the exe does not remove your data.
Good to know
Safety & privacy
- Horadrim is elevated so it can manage instance locks; game clients run as non-admin boxed users.
- Battle.net tokens and optional saved login autofill are stored locally under your AppData profile folders, protected with Windows DPAPI.
- The companion API (when enabled) binds to localhost only and does not expose account secrets.
- This is an independent project and is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.
Mods & Direct
- Packs and Direct are exclusive — use the Packs / Direct switch in the Data window; stacking
-directwith published-modpacks is not supported (D2R ignores packs under Direct). - After a game update, re-check Direct Data versions and republish / align mod stamps if D2R shows a data version dialog.
- Mod load order matters: later enabled packs overwrite overlapping files from earlier ones.
- Full table mods (e.g. large excel packs) are more sensitive to game patches than lean overlays; Continue on D2R’s dialog may still work, but prefer author updates when available.
Steam
- Steam multiboxing is implemented, but live multi-Steam D2R behavior can still hit edge cases after depot/client updates. If something breaks after a patch, report it — we’ll fix it.
Everyday tips
- Prefer Launch as the main action — if a Battle.net profile has no token yet, Connect opens when you need it.
- Use groups and tags to keep fillers and mains out of each other’s way.
- When close-to-tray or minimize-to-tray is on, use Exit from the tray menu to fully quit (closing the window alone may only hide Horadrim).
- Logs are under
%AppData%\Horadrim\logs\if you need diagnostics.
Distribution
Windows builds are published as binaries only via Horadrim-Releases (Horadrim.exe and optional Horadrim-Plugins-*.zip). Application source is not publicly distributed.
Horadrim is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo, Diablo II, and Battle.net are trademarks of their respective owners.
