Do directions from Apple Maps show up in LIVI?

I'm working on a similar project but it's still in the early phases. I want to know before I buy the Carlinkit adapter, do directions from Apple Maps show up in LIVI (not in the CarPlay screen)?

Sorry, maybe I should have made my question more clear. In this picture, you can see directions for a route. Where does that information come from?

These are part of the iAP2 (CarPlay) and Android Auto protocols, so yes, this information comes from Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, and similar navigation apps.
