SS1 Tool v1.25.0
New: RetroAchievements account
A new card in Setup, right below the scraper accounts, for your retroachievements.org login. It's for the RetroAchievements build of MiSTer by odelot.
- Saved where MiSTer reads it: your login is written to
/media/fat/retroachievements.cfg, the file the RetroAchievements build reads when it starts. - Status at a glance:
- whether the RetroAchievements build is installed (
MiSTer_RAand the[RA_*] main=MiSTer_RAblock in MiSTer.ini) - which account is saved, and whether a password is saved
- a warning if the file still has the build's example login (
odelot), which a fresh install otherwise tries to use
- whether the RetroAchievements build is installed (
- Test login checks your username and password with RetroAchievements from the PC, the same way the build logs in, and shows your points.
- Save checks first, so a typo is never saved. If RetroAchievements can't be reached, it saves anyway and tells you the login wasn't checked. Leave the password blank to keep the saved one.
- Only your login changes: just the
username=andpassword=lines are updated. Every other setting and comment in the file stays as it is. - Remove login clears the saved login.
- No account yet? The card links to RetroAchievements' free sign-up.
Fixes
- Links in card text are now light blue throughout the app. Before, they were dark blue and hard to read on the dark background.
Notes
- The RetroAchievements build reads your password from
retroachievements.cfgin plain text, so that's how it's stored on the SD card. SS1 Tool doesn't keep a copy. - Test login and Save send your login to retroachievements.org to check it. The login token RetroAchievements sends back is not kept.
- A new login is used the next time a RetroAchievements core starts.
Docs
- README updated with the RetroAchievements account card and a new screenshot.
