The is a dashboard enhanced version of SvxLink Version 26.05 by Tobias Blömberg SM0SVX
This image has the capability of incorparating single/multiple ports into an Svxlink Operating system with multiple dashboards.
Debugged 9th July 1445 UTC Earlier downloads may fail on selection of multiple nodes.
A maximum of two USB soundcards (TOADS Cards) can be installed in a Raspberry Pi. The architecture cannot support more.
The software now includes at least some of the capability to control the ICS Repeater Cards 1X 2X 4X and 8X, however there are still some issues to be resolved in the 4X and 8X models yet.
The image has been expanded to include rpi-connect, in order accept remote ocnnection if added to the users rpi-connect account. Consequently this image is slightly larger than previous versions, owing to the added software packages.
The instructions are similar to the V3.0 below, included the addition of the svxlink.local:5000/wifi when connecting to the Raspberry Pi's own Access Point, generated if unconnected to a LAN.
The Access Point WiFi SSID is 'svxlink' and the password is 'password'.
Once connected go to a browser in the connected device and type 'svxlink.local:5000/wifi' and search for the home wifi settings.
Enter the SSID and the home netwrok password and click connect. The Access Point wil extinguish and the Raspberry Pi will connect. to the home WiFi in the normal way. Once established, in the browser URL type svxlink.local:5000 to commence the set up of the Repeater/SImplex Unit software.
Connecting to a LAN in the first instance suppresses the WiFi, allowing immediate connection to the existing Router.
svxlink.local:5000 will still commence the installation of the svxlink system from the LAN.
Important
When writing the image to an SD Card use only Rufus or Raspberry Pi Image 1.9.6. Other Imaging systems are unreliable and appear to assert another WiFi system upon the card, breaking the preset Wifi Settings.
Recommended to change your password in the terminal 'sudo passwd pi'
_ In case of updates not part of the package - cd /opt/dashboard and run the following commands. sudo git pull && sudo bash install/fix-permissions.sh && sudo systemctl restart svxlink-dash _
Early issues with OS Trixie failing to work with Access Points have been eliminated, by the termination of the 'cloud-init' software package installed with OS Trixie, allowing NetworkManager to perform its normal operation without hindrance.
