Casa Dashboard Community v3.5.3 is a stability and usability update focused on the new Casa V2 configurator and custom image workflow.

This release fixes the last issues found after the recent configurator redesign and Advanced Energy View introduction.

📸 IMAGE UPLOAD FIXES

The image workflow has been redesigned to be much more reliable.

After selecting a photo:

• the image is compressed automatically
• an immediate preview is shown
• the image is stored in the current configuration draft immediately
• backend /local/... upload is attempted afterwards
• if backend upload fails or times out, the selected photo is preserved using a safe inline fallback

This prevents the previous situation where a photo could be selected but nothing appeared to happen.

Visible upload states have also been added:

• Processing
• Acquired
• Verified
• Fallback ready
• Error

🏠 ADD ROOM RESTORED

The Add Room controls have been restored in the Rooms configurator.

You can now create new rooms again directly from the Casa V2 configuration page.

The configurator now remembers your position.

After:

• editing an entity
• changing a label

• successivamente viene tentato il salvataggio backend tramite /local/...
• se l'upload backend fallisce o va in timeout, la foto rimane comunque disponibile tramite fallback sicuro

Questo elimina il problema precedente in cui era possibile selezionare una foto senza vedere alcun risultato.

Sono stati aggiunti anche stati visibili:

Casa Dashboard Community v3.1.0 focuses on making Casa V2 truly adaptable to real Community installations.

This release was developed after testing configurations very different from the original dashboard and collecting feedback from Community users.

The result is a much more flexible Overview, clearer entity configuration and new customization options.

✨ What's new

📊 Adaptive Casa V2 Overview

The Overview has been redesigned to work properly even when only a small number of the available Community mappings are configured.

You no longer need a configuration similar to the original Casa Dashboard setup to get a clean and useful Overview.

The layout now automatically adapts to the available information.

☀️ Solar / Battery / Grid improvements

Solar and energy information is now displayed using clearer, dedicated visual cards.

Improvements include:

• Solar production
• Battery state of charge
• Grid power
• Energy values
• Wallbox / EV information

Cards remain visually balanced even when only a few entities are available.

🔢 Improved value formatting

Power values are now automatically normalized.

For example:

4005.15 W

is displayed as:

4.01 kW

The dashboard also applies cleaner formatting to:

• battery percentage
• temperatures
• energy values
• generic numeric sensors
• EV / Wallbox states

🎨 Better light-theme support

Overview cards have been improved for Home Assistant light themes.

🏷️ Custom display names for Overview entities

Global Community mappings can now have a custom display name, just like entities inside Casa V2 rooms.

For example:

The naming priority is now:

1. Custom display name
2. Home Assistant friendly name
3. Casa Dashboard Community fallback name

The custom name is stored in the Community configuration and remains persistent.

⚙️ Clearer entity configuration

The previous message:

“Entity configuration incomplete”

has been removed.

The dashboard now clearly explains that the 173 Community mappings are optional.

You only need to configure the functions and devices that actually exist in your Home Assistant installation.

A configuration such as:

is therefore perfectly valid.

Fixed

• Removed dependency on frontend.async_panel_exists
• Added a compatible panel existence check using Home Assistant's frontend_panels registry
• Applied the same compatibility logic during integration unload/reload
• Prevented the error:
