♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.5
♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.5
This release fixes the Municipality / Zone Location Picker disappearing immediately after opening.
📍 Location Picker stability fix
The issue was caused by Home Assistant continuously updating the panel hass state.
Each update could trigger a complete re-render of the Comune view, which destroyed the open picker before the user had time to select another configured profile.
The Location Picker now:
- preserves its open / closed state inside the frontend component
- remains open during normal Home Assistant state updates
- is no longer destroyed by background panel re-renders
- closes only when a profile is selected or the trigger is tapped again
🏘️ Configured profiles only
The picker continues to show only CBBO municipalities and zones already configured by the user in Home Assistant.
No additional municipalities are displayed.
📱 Mobile behaviour
The fix also improves reliability on mobile devices, where frequent Home Assistant state updates could make the picker appear to close immediately after being opened.
✅ Compatibility
No changes have been made to:
- collection schedules
- Home Assistant entity IDs
- existing CBBO configurations
- calendar data
- config entries
Existing installations can be updated normally.
🧪 Validation
- HACS validation passing
- Hassfest validation passing
- Python tests passing
- JavaScript syntax validation passed
- Python compilation passed
- 41 automated tests passing

♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.4
♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.4
This release fixes the Municipality / Zone Location Picker on iPhone and iOS devices and cleans up obsolete validation tests left over from previous releases.
📱 iOS Location Picker fix
On some iPhone devices, the municipality picker could open and then close again almost immediately.
This was caused by the global outside-click handler interacting with Safari / iOS synthesized click events.
The Location Picker now:
- remains open after tapping the selector
- closes only after selecting a profile
- can also be closed by tapping the selector again
- no longer relies on the problematic global click listener
- provides more stable touch behaviour on iPhone
🏘️ Configured profiles only
The picker continues to display only the CBBO municipalities and zones already configured by the user in Home Assistant.
No additional municipalities are shown.
📱 Mobile improvements
The mobile picker has also been refined with:
- improved touch targets
- smoother scrolling
- reduced accidental closing
- better handling of iOS touch events
- improved menu positioning
🧪 Validation cleanup
Obsolete test files from previous v2.3.2 and v2.3.3 implementations have been removed.
These legacy tests were expecting old selector behaviour and previous version numbers, causing the GitHub Python validation workflow to fail even though the current implementation was valid.
All current tests now pass successfully.
✅ Validation
- HACS validation passing
- Hassfest validation passing
- Python tests passing
- JavaScript syntax validation passed
- Python compilation passed
✅ Compatibility
No changes have been made to:
- collection schedules
- Home Assistant entity IDs
- existing CBBO configurations
- calendar data
- config entries
Existing installations can be updated normally.

♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.3
♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.3
This release redesigns the Municipality / Zone selector inside the Waste Center.
📍 New Location Picker
The old native dropdown has been replaced by a modern Location Picker designed to better match the rest of the Waste Center interface.
The new selector provides:
- a clearer active municipality / zone
- a modern card-based selection menu
- improved desktop and mobile usability
- stable opening and interaction
- visual indication of the currently active profile
🏘️ Only configured profiles
The Waste Center now displays only the CBBO municipalities and zones already configured by the user in Home Assistant.
It does not show the complete list of supported CBBO municipalities.
If the user has configured multiple CBBO profiles, only those profiles appear in the Location Picker.
🔄 Dashboard profile switching
Changing municipality in the Waste Center only changes the profile currently being viewed.
It does not modify, recreate or overwrite Home Assistant config entries.
The selected profile is remembered locally by the dashboard.
📱 Improved mobile experience
The Location Picker has also been optimized for smaller screens with:
- larger touch targets
- cleaner spacing
- a mobile-friendly selection panel
- clearer active profile indication

All graphical improvements introduced in previous releases remain unchanged:
- larger waste type icons

♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.2
♻️ CBBO Waste Collection v2.3.2
This release fixes the Municipality selection inside the Waste Center.
🏘️ Municipality selector fixed
The Comune section now shows all 18 supported CBBO municipalities, instead of only the configurations already present in Home Assistant.
You can now select the municipality directly from the Waste Center and save the new configuration.
📍 Mazzano zone support
When Mazzano is selected, the interface also displays the zone selector:
- Zona Nord
- Zona Sud
The selected municipality and zone are saved directly into the existing Home Assistant config entry.
💾 Save Municipality
A new Save Municipality action has been added.
When a new municipality is saved:
- the Home Assistant config entry is updated
- the integration is reloaded automatically
- the Waste Center refreshes with the new municipality
- no Home Assistant restart is required
🛡️ Duplicate protection
The integration now prevents accidentally configuring the same municipality / zone combination twice.
🎨 Waste Center
