World of Warcraft is named before anything is installed. (#45)

Retail WoW blocked a dxgi.dll override outright in 11.1.7.61965"Your 3D accelerator card is not supported by World of Warcraft" — unblocked it in a hotfix an hour later, and blocked it again in 11.2.0. Blizzard's stated position is that injecting into the render chain is against its terms whether or not it happens to be blocked in a given week, and there are ban reports.

The tool installed into it and reported success, which is the worst of the three possible answers. Wow.exe and WowClassic.exe now carry the same up-front warning as Overwatch and Valorant, with the existing override tick for anyone who has weighed it and decided for themselves.

A 3.3.5a private-server client (ChromieCraft and friends) has the same executable name and its own server's rules, so it gets the same warning rather than a guess about which server you are on.
