Deylee 0.8.0
- Keep Awake can now keep the Mac awake with the lid closed. Turn on Stay awake with
the lid closed in Settings, under Keep Awake, and Keep Awake starts straight away. macOS
asks for your administrator password when a Keep Awake session starts, and the Mac sleeps normally again as soon as the
session ends, even if Deylee quits or crashes. The screen still turns off as usual, so
the Mac keeps working in the background. It is off unless you turn it on. - The menu-bar menu has a new Turn Screen Off item, which switches the display off at
once while the Mac, and any Keep Awake, keeps running. - Your settings now follow your account. Signed in, Deylee keeps your preferences in
your account, so a new Mac, a reinstall or a lost preferences file starts with the
settings you chose. Changes made offline are sent when you are back online. Settings has
a new Settings Sync section to turn this off, sync straight away, or reset every synced
setting to its default on all your Macs without touching your hours. Screen capture
settings and launch at login always stay on the Mac they were set on. - Wording across the app, and on the page an hour slip opens, reads more plainly: sentences
no longer break off with a dash. - Opening Settings no longer puts a blinking cursor in the Daily target box. Nothing is
selected until you click a field or press Tab.
Deylee 0.7.0
Hour slips: proof of your hours. History has a new Hour slip… button. Choose
Yesterday, the last 7 days, a range of your own of up to 30 days, or Today once you have
ended the day, and Deylee makes a PDF of the hours you recorded and the hours it witnessed
live, signed by Deylee, with a QR code and a link. Whoever you give it to can open either
to see that it is genuine and that your record still says the same. The page shows your
name, email and those hours, so share it only with people you mean to. If you reopen or
change a day after making a slip, that slip expires, and you can make a new one.
Changing time needs an account. Adding, editing or deleting a segment in History now
asks you to sign in first, the same as starting the timer.
Deylee 0.6.0
Past days are final. Two hours after midnight, a day's work and break times can no
longer be changed, deleted or added to — in History the day shows Locked. Notes stay
editable. The server decides when a day has ended, by its own clock, so changing your
Mac's date does not reopen yesterday: an edit made that way is undone at the next sync.
Work recorded while offline still arrives when you reconnect.
Deylee 0.5.0
The menu bar shows the Deylee icon. The small clock that stood in for the app is
replaced by the same ring and arc as the app icon, so Deylee is recognisable at a glance
beside the other menu-bar items.
Keep your Mac awake from Deylee. Right-click the menu-bar icon and choose Keep Awake
to stop the Mac going to sleep, the way KeepingYouAwake does — one app instead of two.
Keep Awake For offers 5 minutes up to 5 hours, until you turn it off, or a length of your
own. Settings has a new Keep Awake section: how long a plain Keep Awake lasts, whether the
screen may still sleep, and an option to keep awake whenever the Mac runs on battery and
stop when it is plugged back in. It is off each time Deylee starts.
About Deylee. The ⓘ button at the bottom of the panel, or About Deylee in the
right-click menu, shows which version you are running and where the source lives.
