LeafFiles 2.2.1 (build 20) fixes unexpected copies during drag and drop.

• Items dragged from the current folder into a subfolder are moved; dropping them on the current folder's empty area no longer creates duplicates.
• Items dragged in from other folders are copied, preserving the originals. Use copy and paste to explicitly make a copy in the current folder.
• Unreadable items and mixed sources prompt a retry or separate drops; move progress and undo remain available.

An isolated icon-view test confirmed the moved folder no longer remains at its original location. Details and icon views share the same drop policy.

• 修复文件夹图标闪现：网格和列表在异步读取真实图标前，直接显示 macOS 系统文件夹图标，消除切换目录时黄色占位图一闪而过的问题；自定义图标仍继续加载。

LeafFiles 2.2.0 (build 19) refines icon colors and pane controls for everyday file browsing.

• Sidebar and Home colors: blue navigation icons and file-category colors return to the sidebar. Quick Access uses blue for common locations, green for Pictures, orange for Movies and purple for Music, retaining the existing text and card styling.
• Collapse and reopen in place: clearer dividers include directional arrow buttons. Collapsed panes retain reverse arrows at the window edges; click to reopen at the previous width. Both panes can be collapsed independently or together.
• Keep familiar width controls: drag dividers to resize, double-click to reset, or reopen panes from the toolbar. Collapsed rails reserve their own space without covering files or scrollbars. Cleanup pages omit the unavailable inspector control.
• Fix folder-icon flashes: lists and grids show the macOS folder icon immediately while the real icon loads, removing the brief yellow placeholder during folder changes. Custom icons still load asynchronously.

LeafFiles 2.1.0 (build 18) improves Finder integration, language switching and extraction destinations.

• Open archives from Finder: choose LeafFiles in Open With for supported ZIP, ZIPX, RAR, 7Z and other archives to open the built-in preview. LeafFiles registers as an alternate viewer; your default application remains your choice.
• Show in LeafFiles: use the Finder service to reveal files or browse folders in new tabs. Multiple selections and cold launches are supported, while existing tabs are preserved.
• Localized application menus: Settings, About, Hide and Quit now follow the selected English or Chinese language, alongside the top-level menu bar. The duplicate Settings entry is hidden. Some system-provided window commands, input methods, dictation and third-party services may retain the system language.
• Create extraction destinations: choose New Folder in the built-in Extract To picker. Successful creation opens the new folder, ready for confirmation. Nested folders can be created in sequence; conflicts, invalid names and permission errors are reported without overwriting existing items.

Thanks to @KaKi87 for the favorites and in-app picker suggestions #1, crash logs #2 and OrbStack report and follow-up #3. These earlier reports were addressed in previous releases; the OrbStack recovery was confirmed by the reporter. This is an acknowledgment, not a claim of new OrbStack fixes in 2.1.0. LeafFiles 2.0.4 (build 17) improves the smoothness and clarity of everyday file browsing.

• Reuse native grid rows and tiles, with cached system icons and default-app lookups, to reduce layout work when scrolling through many files.
• Fix stale hover backgrounds when scrolling under a stationary pointer.
• Give scan notices, task banners and the bottom status bar their own layout space so they no longer cover file icons or rows. Both icon and detail views reclaim the space when a notice disappears.

The recent fixes have passed regression checks, with no obvious issues found in local use. LeafFiles remains focused on file management. Future work will prioritize interface improvements, performance and bug fixes, without expanding into unrelated tools.

LeafFiles 2.0.3 (build 16) creates ZIP archives without macOS metadata clutter while retaining other hidden files.

• Exclude .DS_Store, ._* and __MACOSX directories and their contents at every level. This applies to folders, direct multi-selection and combined selections from different directories.
• Keep .git, .env, .gitignore, .config, .localized, other hidden items, empty folders and symlinks. Similar names such as .DS_Store.backup, report._draft.txt and __MACOSX_notes remain intact.
• Filter only archive contents; source files and existing archives remain untouched.
• Selecting only metadata shows a clear message instead of creating an empty archive. Filenames beginning with a dash are handled safely.
• Default-app opening of archive members, Space for Quick Look, WeChat cleanup and MTP Android features remain available.

LeafFiles 2.0.2 (build 15) opens archive members in your preferred apps and simplifies menu icons.

• Double-click an archive member or choose Open with default app for text, Markdown, images, videos and other types. LeafFiles associations take priority, followed by the macOS default.
• Direct opening requires a known original size smaller than 64 MiB. Files at the limit, unknown sizes and links prompt you to extract first, with an in-app destination picker entry.
• Only the selected file is temporarily extracted. Single-click still selects; double-clicking a folder navigates into it. Space and View selected file retain embedded Quick Look; the original top-right Close button remains.
• External apps receive read-only cached copies that survive closing the archive window. Repeat opens in the same preview session reuse the copy; edits are not written back to the archive.
• Later file opens reclaim previous-session cache entries older than seven days or above a 512 MiB target. Files handed off during the current app run stay protected, so this is not a hard size cap.
• Password retries, cancellation, archive-change checks and application-launch errors are handled explicitly.
• One chevron beside the tab-bar plus, one ellipsis for More, no duplicate arrows in everyday menus, and clearer accessibility labels. Native colors, the existing curl command, settings and signed update channel remain compatible.

LeafFiles 2.0.1 (build 14) improves archive browsing, everyday controls and the app’s name in Finder.

Thanks to @KaKi87 for reporting bugs and following up. The OrbStack folder-opening problem was addressed by earlier directory/symlink fixes, and the reporter confirmed that it seems fixed on October 23 in issue #3. This release records that confirmation, rather than claiming a new OrbStack-specific fix. Thanks also for the crash logs in issue #2 and the favorites / in-app picker suggestions in issue #1, addressed in earlier releases.

• Browse archives by folder with breadcrumbs and Up navigation, including inferred and empty directories. Search across the archive with full paths.
• Select rows without extracting; double-click a file or press Space to prepare its preview. Keep the current preview while changing selection to reduce repeated reads and temporary writes.
• Clearer preview loading, password and error states, collapsible details, and an explicit Extract All action.
• Retain native macOS colors with clearer toolbar icons, hover/disabled feedback, compact layouts, grouped file details, removable search filters and cleanup selection totals.
• Locate Android files in a new device-folder tab; include device identity in file IDs to prevent cross-device collisions.
• Install as LeafFiles.app. The curl installer backs up and migrates legacy WinFile.app installations and rolls back on failure. • 双击本机压缩包、空格或右键「预览压缩包」，在 WinFile 内查看包内路径、原始/压缩大小、算法与加密状态，可按名称或路径筛选；自定义默认应用优先于双击预览。
• 选中普通文件后点击「查看所选文件」或双击条目，临时解出这一项，通过嵌入式 Quick Look 查看，不自动启动外部应用、不改写原包。副本只读，切换或关闭后清理。
• 预览窗口可直接解压到当前目录、独立目录或自选位置，自选位置使用 WinFile 内置文件夹选择器。
• 修复先选 A、再右键 B 时预览/解压误用 A 的问题；相关菜单使用实际右键目标，目录选择器固定解压来源。

限制与验证

• 普通包列目录不解出文件。单文件预览上限 64 MiB，压缩 TAR 预览需临时展开中间归档（上限 512 MiB）；超限可以正常解压后查看。目录列表上限 100,000 项 / 32 MiB；无法安全解析时明确报错。
• 路径与链接校验、子进程写入隔离、取消后等待进程退出再清理、字面成员路径匹配、源包变化复查均保留或补充验证。
• 功能验收：命令行 1,220 项通过，arm64 与 Intel/Rosetta 应用包各 1,225 项通过，均为 0 失败，跳过真实安卓设备操作。真实 ZIPX LZMA / PPMd / Zstandard、CAB MSZip、LHA LH5、TAR.ZST 样本及生成归档通过回归。ARJ、DEB、RPM 未覆盖所有真实变体。
• 最终 1.5.0 (12) 发行构建：arm64 与 Intel/Rosetta 各 1,225 项通过，0 失败（跳过真实安卓设备操作）；签名及篡改拒绝 4 项、隔离安装及失败回滚 6 项均通过。
• 真实窗口验证预览、筛选、嵌入式文本/CSV 查看、内置目录选择器、输出字节、右键目标隔离与临时文件清理；详见 验收记录。
• macOS 13+，一个通用包支持 Apple Silicon 和 Intel。v1.2.0 起支持应用内检查更新；更新包和更新源使用既有 Ed25519 密钥签名。当前应用为 ad-hoc 签名，未经过 Apple 公证。

WinFile 1.5.0 (build 12) adds ZIPX and more extraction formats, plus built-in archive and single-file previews.

• Extract ZIPX, Zstandard, LZMA, Unix compress, CAB, ARJ, LZH/LHA, CPIO, AR, DEB, RPM and XAR, including additional compressed TAR combinations. Recognize ZIPX split volumes. Package formats are only extracted, never installed; codec variants depend on the engine. Archive creation remains ZIP.
• Double-click a local archive, press Space or choose Preview archive to list and filter paths, sizes, methods and encryption. Custom default apps take precedence for double-clicks.
• View one regular member using embedded Quick Look and a temporary read-only copy. No automatic external app launch or write-back; remove copies on switch/close. Limits: 64 MiB per member, 512 MiB for a compressed TAR intermediate, 100,000 entries / 32 MiB per listing. Larger items can still be extracted normally.
• Extract directly from the preview with the built-in folder picker. Use the actual right-click target and retain the source while selecting a destination. Extended-codec ZIP files use bundled 7-Zip; ordinary ZIP metadata handling is preserved.
• Feature validation: 1,220 logic checks and 1,225 checks each in arm64 and Intel/Rosetta app bundles, all passing with physical-device operations excluded. Public ZIPX/CAB/LHA/Zstandard samples and generated archives cover extraction and preview; real-window checks verify filtering, embedded viewing, destination choice, output bytes, right-click isolation and cleanup. Not every ARJ/DEB/RPM or ZIPX codec variant has a physical sample test.

The final 1.5.0 (12) release builds passed 1,225 checks each on arm64 and Intel/Rosetta, excluding physical-device operations. Four signature/tamper checks and six isolated installation/rollback scenarios passed.

Requires macOS 13+. Universal Apple Silicon / Intel build; in-app updates available from v1.2.0. The app is ad-hoc signed and not Apple-notarized; existing Ed25519 signatures verify update packages and feeds.
