famstack 0.4.0-rc.2 - the family's lists

Highlights

• Lists as first-class citizens. Families have lists everywhere: to-dos for every person, packing checklists, groceries, errands, the dates to keep. That's why lists now have a home of their own, one file each. Tell Stacky "we need eggs", give a to-do to Bart, and see it in the wiki on the topic and on Bart's page. Letters put their appointments on the family calendar.
• Stacky (Local Agent) is finally usable now Families send voice messages and photos, not typed commands. So Stacky now listens to a voice message and reads a photo with its caption. Chat interactions are faster and more interactive now. This is the foundation to build on now.
• More improvements to the family wiki A baby, a grandparent or the family doctor matter without a chat account. Now everyone the family knows can be added, and is recognised by every name they go by. The home page starts with the family, the facts at a glance and what is ahead.
• Topic captures keep what was said. What the family writes is the record, so it stays word for word: captions and replies stay on their entry, photos are filed as notes, and links survive corrections.
• Still beta: the agent (on its first start, run ./stack restart core, then ./stack restart agent, #173) and backups, which do not cover the family memory in Forgejo yet.

Upgrading from v0.4.0-rc.1

Coming from 0.2.x or a 0.3.0 beta? Follow the 0.4.0-rc.1 notes first: ./stack update arrived there, and before it the move is by hand.

1. Move to the release and restart what it changed, which is every running stacklet:

   ./stack update
   ./stack restart

   On its restart, the memory stacklet writes a person file for each chat account, family/people/<id>.md, and moves each topic's todos.md to a list in family/lists/, keeping every item and tick. A minute after it starts, the archivist moves the photos filed as bookmarks to notes. Stacky moves its conversations to nanobot's new session store on its first start.

2. Add everyone without a chat account, such as a baby, with the names the family uses for them:

   ./stack memory person add "Maggie Simpson" --alias Margaret --as marge

3. Optional: the home, person and topic pages move to their new layout with the nightly sweep. To see it now:

   ./stack memory wiki update --all

Breaking: ./stack memory topic <topic> todo and ./stack memory list-edit are removed; use ./stack memory list. ./stack memory person <name> is now ./stack memory person show <name>. This only affects scripts that called them.

Performance

• Agent Stacklet: Answer in a long room without waiting for a summary of it, in 8 to 16 seconds a turn (nanobot 0.3.5)
