Lock and hide your secret group

If you have a "special" group, maybe full of corn 🌽, and you want to hide it from other hungry people on your computer, lock and hide it!

1. open Edit group window (right click group mane and select Edit group)

2. switch to Settings tab

3. enable Lock this group option:

   

   ℹ️ Tip: see also two useful options: "Hide group when locked" and "Auto-open group when unlocked"

4. locking a group for will prompt you to setup a new Master password:

   

Unlocking (hidden) group

Once you try to open a locked group, you will be prompted to enter your password - and if it's correct, group will be unlocked.
However, if your group is also hidden (using the Hide group when locked option), you will have to use the main menu / Master password / Unlock:

You can use the main menu again (Master password / Lock now), or you can right click the group and select Lock now:

Note

• locked group content is excluded from search
• restarting browser locks all groups
• locked group content is not encrypted, skilled programmer will be to overcome the lock (but not reveal your password, as only the passwords hash is stored)
