Mind maps inside the WordPress admin. No build step, no external services, no API keys, no tracking.

Install

Download fb-mind-map-0.3.0.zip below, then in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the file, install and activate. A Mind Maps item appears in the admin menu.

Requires WordPress 6.0 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.

What is in this release

  • A full-screen editor: root, child and sibling nodes, inline renaming, subtree dragging, collapse and expand, automatic layout, pan and zoom, a navigator, undo and redo, a branch clipboard, and autosave.
  • Notes made of blocks — text, HTML with a sandboxed preview, an AI prompt stored but never run, images and files from your Media library, and a YouTube or Vimeo video.
  • The video opens in its own draggable window beside the note, on whichever side has room.
  • English and Türkçe, 243 strings, editable with Loco Translate.
  • An example map you cannot delete, created on activation, documenting how this plugin was built — with the prompt for each stage in a prompt block. Edit it freely; Reset on its row puts it back.

Notes

The zip installs as fb-mind-map in wp-content/plugins. It excludes the repository furniture (.github, .gitignore, .gitattributes) — clone the repository instead if you want those.

The only request this plugin makes outside your own site is the still image for a YouTube video block, and Mind Maps → Settings → Video thumbnails turns that off.
