Release list
Pulse 0.4.0
Pulse 0.4.0
What's new:
- Cryptocurrency search, quotes, and charts now use Binance Spot public market-data endpoints, with one-second WebSocket ticker updates while the menu-bar popover is open. No Binance account or API key is required.
- Crypto symbols now use structured base/quote pairs and are displayed consistently as
BTC/USDT. Existing Yahoo-style symbols such asBTC-USDare migrated automatically. - Binance is now the single cryptocurrency source, avoiding mismatched instruments and inconsistent names between Yahoo and Binance. The current Binance Spot symbol directory is cached locally and refreshed automatically.
- Binance and Longbridge live streams can run together, so crypto and securities continue receiving updates from their appropriate providers.
- Data-source settings now use consistent status labels and concise market summaries, with connection details and complete capabilities available inside each source.
- Pulse now includes a small set of anonymous product-usage events through TelemetryDeck. Analytics are enabled by default and can be disabled at any time in Settings. Pulse never attaches symbols, watchlists, positions, search text, credentials, or other user-provided content to these events; the full collection scope is documented publicly in the README.
- Repeated local Debug builds now reuse the developer's own Apple Development identity when available, reducing unnecessary Keychain authorization prompts without affecting release signing.
For first-time installation, download Pulse-0.4.0.dmg and drag Pulse to Applications. The zip asset is used by Sparkle automatic updates.
Pulse 0.3.0
Pulse 0.3.0
What's new:
- Share a symbol directly from its detail page. The clipboard-ready image includes the public quote, intraday trend, and market statistics while keeping portfolio holdings private.
- The watchlist share action now has its own top-level button, so sharing no longer requires opening the overflow menu.
- Watchlist rows, detail pages, and shared images now use the same current-session one-minute trend data, trading-time axis, previous-close baseline, lunch-break handling, and gap detection.
- Trend data is shared between the watchlist and detail cache, keeping the three surfaces on the same market snapshot whenever possible.
- Live feed status no longer flashes back to “Feed normal” while opening or closing the popover; the streaming state remains stable across the popover lifecycle.
- Share actions now use the system share icon, and share-card footer spacing has been increased for a more balanced export.
For first-time installation, download Pulse-0.3.0.dmg and drag Pulse to Applications. The zip asset is used by Sparkle automatic updates.
Pulse 0.2.0
Pulse 0.2.0
What's new:
- Real-time quotes via Longbridge: connect your own Longbridge account from Settings — through browser authorization or manually entered OpenAPI keys — to upgrade Hong Kong, US, and China A-share quotes to official real-time data. Credentials never leave the local Keychain.
- Live push streaming: with Longbridge connected, watchlist and detail prices tick in real time over a persistent connection instead of waiting for the next poll — including the US overnight session, which now shows its own "Overnight" state and price.
- Per-source refresh cadence: each data source polls at its own configurable interval (defaults: Tencent 15s, Yahoo 60s, Longbridge 60s), and only while its markets are open. The global refresh setting is retired.
- Redesigned data source pages: every source now opens a detail page with an enable switch and a fact card spelling out its capabilities, refresh mode, and exact per-market freshness — realtime or the concrete delay in minutes. The enable switch stays locked until an account is connected, and turning a source off truly stops its data.
- The watchlist footer now reports feed health — "Streaming live" while pushes are flowing — instead of a refresh timestamp.
- Sort menu: "Custom order" is a persistent state you can return to any time, with reordering split into its own "Adjust order" action.
- Smoother popover: submenus no longer flicker while live prices update, and data source pages match the settings page height.
For first-time installation, download Pulse-0.2.0.dmg and drag Pulse to Applications. The zip asset is used by Sparkle automatic updates.
Pulse 0.1.6
Pulse 0.1.6
What's new:
- Show amplitude (the day's high–low range as a percentage of previous close) in the detail stats, replacing turnover.
- Localize data source names and descriptions in Settings.
- Animate price updates across the watchlist and detail view: digits roll up or down with the direction of the change.
- Slide between list, detail, position, and settings pages, with the popover height following smoothly.
- Add press feedback to buttons, crossfade chart period switches, and stop the loading spinner from flashing on fast loads.
- Give the empty watchlist a gentle first-run entrance and ease the search transition.
- Respect the system Reduce Motion setting across all animations.
- Fix detail header truncation and let the period picker wrap for longer localizations.
For first-time installation, download Pulse-0.1.6.dmg and drag Pulse to Applications. The zip asset is used by Sparkle automatic updates.
