Windows Defender signale à tort PlumeSetup-1.0.3.exe comme un cheval de Troie (Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.C!ml). C'est un faux positif, signalé à Microsoft. Ce fichier a été compilé par GitHub à partir du code de l'étiquette v1.0.3 : son attestation de provenance le prouve, et une recompilation du même code, différente de 62 octets (horodatages et identifiants aléatoires), n'est pas détectée. En attendant, utilisez Plume-1.0.3-portable.zip ou la version 1.0.2.

Nouveautés

• Tab choisit le premier mot proposé pendant la frappe d'un mot. Tab garde son rôle habituel (champ suivant, cellule suivante, retrait) après une espace, avec Maj+Tab, après Échap, et quand le mot tapé est déjà le premier proposé. Pour désactiver : Options → Prédiction → Tab choisit le premier mot pendant la frappe d'un mot.
• Échap masque la liste sans rien transmettre à l'application quand la liste est affichée. Il ne ferme donc plus une boîte de dialogue et n'annule plus la saisie d'une cellule Excel. Sans liste affichée, Échap fonctionne normalement.
• Barre d'outils en icônes seules, plus compacte : Options → Apparence → Barre d'outils. Les bulles d'aide remplacent le texte.
• Environ 40 % de mémoire en moins : environ 60 Mo au lieu d'environ 110 Mo, avec des prédictions identiques.

Si Plume est déjà installé : après la mise à jour, Tab choisit un mot quand la liste est affichée pendant la frappe d'un mot. Pour une vraie tabulation à ce moment-là, appuyez sur Échap puis Tab, ou désactivez l'option ci-dessus.

What's new

• Tab chooses the first suggested word while you type a word. Tab keeps its usual role (next field, next cell, indent) after a space, with Shift+Tab, after Esc, and when the typed word already is the first suggestion. To turn it off: Options → Prediction → Tab chooses the first word while typing a word.
• Esc hides the list without passing anything to the application while the list is shown. It therefore no longer closes a dialog box or cancels an Excel cell entry. When no list is shown, Esc works as usual.
• Icons-only toolbar, more compact: Options → Appearance → Toolbar. Tooltips replace the text.
• About 40% less memory: about 60 MB instead of about 110 MB, with identical predictions.

If Plume is already installed: after the update, Tab chooses a word when the list is shown while you type a word. To insert a real tab at that moment, press Esc then Tab, or turn the option above off.

Nouveautés

• Terminaux exclus par défaut. Dans Windows Terminal, l'invite de commandes, PowerShell, WSL, PuTTY…, les invites de mot de passe (sudo, ssh) ne se déclarent pas à Windows : Plume y affichait des suggestions pendant la frappe du mot de passe et pouvait en noter une partie. Il n'y propose et n'y apprend plus rien ; une option (Options → Raccourcis) les réactive.
• « Prédire » désactivé = pause complète. Quand la prédiction est désactivée (bouton Prédire ou Ctrl+Maj+F11), Plume ne note plus aucun mot ; auparavant, l'apprentissage continuait.
• Tout oublier. Nouveau bouton Options → Vocabulaire → Oublier tout ce que Plume a appris : il efface les mots et enchaînements appris, en français et en anglais (les abréviations et les mots refusés sont conservés).
• Vie privée documentée. Le README et les options expliquent exactement ce que contient le fichier des mots appris (%APPDATA%\Plume\mots_fr.txt), ce qui n'y est jamais noté, et les limites.
• Licence des dictionnaires précisée : les corpus téléchargés de la Leipzig Corpora Collection sont sous CC BY.

Security and privacy release: updating is recommended.

What's new

• Terminals excluded by default. In Windows Terminal, the command prompt, PowerShell, WSL, PuTTY…, password prompts (sudo, ssh) do not declare themselves to Windows: Plume showed suggestions while the password was typed and could record part of it. It now suggests and learns nothing there; an option (Options → Shortcuts) turns terminals back on.
• "Predict" off = full pause. When prediction is turned off (Predict button or Ctrl+Shift+F11), Plume no longer records any word; previously, learning went on.
• Forget everything. New button Options → Vocabulary → Forget everything Plume has learned: it erases the learned words and word pairs, in French and English (abbreviations and blocked words are kept).
• Privacy documented. The README and the options explain exactly what the learned-words file (%APPDATA%\Plume\mots_fr.txt) contains, what is never recorded, and the limits.
• Dictionary license clarified: the downloaded Leipzig Corpora Collection corpora are under CC BY.

Installer

1. Téléchargez PlumeSetup-1.0.0.exe ci-dessous et lancez-le.
2. Cliquez sur Installer. Aucun droit d'administrateur n'est demandé : Plume s'installe pour votre compte, apparaît dans le menu Démarrer et se désinstalle depuis Paramètres → Applications → Applications installées.

Le programme n'est pas signé numériquement : si Windows affiche « Windows a protégé votre ordinateur », choisissez Informations complémentaires → Exécuter quand même.

Sans installation : décompressez Plume-1.0.0-portable.zip et lancez Plume.exe.

Configuration requise : Windows 10 ou 11 (avec .NET Framework 4.8, déjà présent sur ces systèmes).

Fonctions

• Liste de mots proposés sous le curseur, choix au chiffre, aux touches F1–F9 ou à la souris ; mot suivant après une espace.
• Accents facultatifs et aide orthographique phonétique (« otomob » → automobile).
• Lecture à voix haute : mot survolé, mot choisi, phrases terminées, texte sélectionné (Ctrl+Maj+F12).
• Apprentissage de vos mots, abréviations, mots à ne plus proposer.
• Interface et écriture en français ou en anglais ; thèmes et police au choix.
• Rien n'est fait dans les champs de mot de passe ; tout reste sur l'ordinateur.

2. Click Install. No administrator rights are needed: Plume installs for your account, appears in the Start menu and is uninstalled from Settings → Apps → Installed apps.

The program is not digitally signed: if Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway.

Without installing: unzip Plume-1.0.0-portable.zip and run Plume.exe.

Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 (with .NET Framework 4.8, already included in these systems).

• Suggested words below the cursor, chosen with number keys, F1–F9 or the mouse; next-word prediction after a space.
• Optional accents and phonetic spelling help ("becuas" → because).
• Reading aloud: word under the mouse, chosen word, finished sentences, selected text (Ctrl+Shift+F12).
