Linivera v0.1.2

Linivera v0.1.2 fixes language metadata in Studio exports.

• New works save their manuscript language with folio_init (for example, language: "en"). Studio's default Web and EPUB downloads now use that language, including HTML and EPUB metadata. The UI language remains a separate setting.
• The API authentication guide now correctly names X-Folio-Token, preserving the existing protocol.
• Package verification now checks English and Korean originals through actual Studio downloads, without an export-language override.

Existing work folders and approval records need no conversion. Older works without a language setting retain the Korean export default. To export an existing English work, set language: en in its work.yaml or specify the export language. Reconnect the MCP server after updating its package URL; restart Studio and re-export old static copies.

Install the prepared package using the commands in the README. Node.js 24 is recommended. This remains an early local prerelease distributed through GitHub Releases, not the npm registry.

Verification: backend 1,774/1,774 and Studio 70/70 tests; fresh tarball installation; MCP identity, legacy aliases, and English/Korean Studio Web/EPUB downloads. CI remains excluded.

English and Korean example libraries remain separate downloads. Previous packages and example assets are unchanged. SHA256SUMS covers this release's package.

Linivera v0.1.1 — one-command demo and English examples

Linivera v0.1.1 simplifies the first installation and makes the English README lead to English examples.

• Register the prepared GitHub package with one host command; no clone, source build or absolute script path is needed. The README includes Claude Code, Codex, Grok CLI and Windows instructions.
• Run npx -y https://github.com/fbwndrud/linivera/releases/download/v0.1.1/linivera-0.1.1.tgz demo to create a small English synthetic story and open a local Studio server. Add --language ko for Korean.
• MCP initialization includes the basic workflow. Hosts supporting MCP resources can read bundled guides without separately copying the skill folder.
• English and Korean collections are separate linivera-examples-en.zip and linivera-examples-ko.zip downloads. Individual example ZIPs, catalogs, a Studio screenshot and SHA256SUMS are included. The English collection has a new Linivera beginner guide, stories, an illustrated book and a source-bound translation.

Existing work folders, .folio records, folio_* tool IDs and folio-* command aliases remain compatible. Earlier v0.1.0 downloads are unchanged. Generated works are separate release downloads; the engine contains only small synthetic fixtures and the built Studio.

This remains an early local release. npm downloads the GitHub package and its dependencies on first use; it is not an npm-registry publication. Example approvals are simulated or pending, and reviews are from the same host. Code is Apache-2.0; original example content is CC0-1.0 with third-party material excluded. No GitHub CI is included.

Folio v0.1.0 — local MCP and Studio

Folio keeps the work and its records together: manuscripts, images, sources, revisions and author decisions. This first release runs locally through stdio MCP, with Korean/English Studio and Web/EPUB exports.

Early prerelease. Local checks passed; hosted CI could not start, so the remote OS/Node matrix is unverified. This is not a stable-production certification.

• One example: choose a folio-example-*.zip. It includes work/, Studio, Web and EPUB. Extract, read its README and run node serve.mjs.

Reviews came from the same AI host. The examples demonstrate the workflow and output formats; they are not an independent assessment of writing quality. Copy an entire example folder before editing.

Verification and release fixes

macOS arm64 / Node 24.19.0: backend 1,751 and viewer 67 tests passed; lint, typecheck, fresh source setup, installed-tarball MCP/HTTP/export/diagnostic checks passed. Runtime and viewer dependency audits reported no known vulnerabilities at the time checked. All five example ZIPs passed CRC and per-file manifest hash checks.

Release review fixed output isolation through symlink parents, preservation of unrelated files after failed example builds, escaped JSON private-path detection, missing bundled license notices and links to documentation excluded from installed packages. README now starts with a working example and is available in English and Korean.

The GitHub CI workflow is present, but hosted jobs did not execute. Windows/Linux and the remaining supported Node versions are not certified by this release. Optional embedding weights, AI/image services, cloud hosting, authentication and collaborative editing are not included. See compatibility and operations.

Folio code: Apache-2.0. Original example manuscripts, images, settings and research notes: CC0-1.0. Third-party quotes, code and trademarks retain their own rights. Studio includes full third-party licenses and version-pinned ELK source references in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt.

Published download verification

After publication, all 10 checksummed assets were downloaded again and matched SHA256SUMS. The five work ZIPs passed manifest hashes, ZIP/EPUB CRC and moved-work diagnostic checks. The downloaded engine tarball was installed afresh and passed the synthetic MCP/HTTP/export production path. The public Korean README and its screenshot also rendered successfully. Hosted CI remains unexecuted.

English examples — added October 11, 2026

Download the English example library, extract it, and run node serve.mjs to open the collection. Each work also has its own ZIP. The English README now links directly to this collection.

In the original English ZIPs, Web and EPUB editions are English. The translation's Studio shows its Korean original; those earlier ZIPs do not have a variant reader selector. Each bundle preserves the work folder and records. Examples use simulated approval and same-host, scripted review responses; they are not independent quality certification. Original example content is CC0-1.0, with third-party rights and software licenses preserved.

English downloads have their own ENGLISH-SHA256SUMS, catalog and provenance file. ZIP/EPUB integrity, source-version binding and source-change approval guards were checked. Existing Korean assets, checksums and the v0.1.0 engine tarball remain unchanged. There is no new engine release or npm publication.

Updated English Studio editions — October 11, 2026

Download the updated English collection, or just the updated translation Studio bundle. Extract and run node serve.mjs.

Studio now has Reading edition / 읽는 판본 for declared editions. The translation example opens in English; switch to Original to read the Korean source. Section text, section review records and publication follow the choice. Outline, settings, library, tracking and work-wide review summaries describe the original work. The current source checkout includes the same selector and edition-specific Web/EPUB downloads. Static review copies remain read-only.

Missing translation text is not replaced with the original, and an incomplete edition cannot generate a book download. Changed original text or term maps raise export warnings. Review snapshots include images used only by a variant. Simulated approval and same-host review disclosures remain.

Local final source checks: backend 1,762 and viewer 70 tests, lint, typecheck, Studio build and package verification passed on macOS arm64 / Node 24.19.0. Five repackaged examples passed file hashes and ZIP/EPUB CRC. Authenticated HTTP downloads for original/translation Web and EPUB matched their text and language. Hosted CI still has no executed jobs; the remote matrix remains unverified.

Use STUDIO-EDITION-SHA256SUMS, folio-studio-edition-catalog.json and folio-studio-edition-provenance.json for these added downloads. Earlier release assets, folio-0.1.0.tgz and the v0.1.0 tag are unchanged. This is an update to the source branch and separately packaged Studio examples, not a new engine release.
