v0.0.8: flashing from the phone no longer fails mid-flash, slow builds no longer time out, Marauder's enter works
- Flashing from the phone: about 1 flash in 4 failed ("FLASH_DEFL_BEGIN timed out" or "Error writing ... rc=-1")
because the mirror link reconnected to the ESP 1.5 s into the flash and took its USB port. The link now stays
out of the way until the flash is done (10 of 10 flashes on this release's code; the race happened once and
was blocked) - The app now waits up to 30 min for a build (was 20): Ultimate-Remote takes up to ~23 min to build, and the app
used to give up on builds that then succeeded - Since v0.0.7 in every build the proxy makes (no app update needed): apps that draw with TFT_eSPI and read the
Cardputer keyboard themselves (ESP32Marauder and its forks) run on a bare ESP32-S3 with the phone as screen and
keyboard; one tap now selects once in those apps (a finger tap used to select twice: enter opened a submenu
and then its first item)
Tested firmware x board (phone-verified, 2026-10-10)
Phone: Poco X7 Pro (Android 16 / HyperOS). "Works" = the app's 20 s check after flashing (one boot, the ESP's
HELLO, frames on the phone) plus one key from the phone where the app reads keys. The verdict issues say
"cardputer-adv" for every board (a known label bug); the board below comes from the build target and the test log.
Bare ESP32-S3-N16R8 devkit, "bare ESP32-S3" target (the phone is the only screen):
