A follow-up you type while the agent is working now survives the page going away.

It was held in a variable, so a refresh, a crash or a closed laptop lost it with nothing said - the one thing here that lost typed text. It comes back into the composer, where you can read it and press send, and it belongs to the conversation you typed it in.
