The answer pane draws markdown.

It understood three inline marks and nothing else, so a model answering in headings and lists - which is how a model answers - had ## Roles drawn on screen as a hash, a hash and a space. Headings, both kinds of list, quotes, tables, rules and links are elements now, built by hand.

Never from HTML. This pane draws words chosen by whoever wrote the last page the agent visited, so an image tag would fetch its source the instant it entered the document, with no click and no script. Images are not implemented at all, and a link is shown without being clickable, with its address printed next to the words rather than hidden behind them.

And the last thing the model said is now drawn at all. The page holds one narration line back so that a sentence followed by tool calls reads as their lead-in and one with nothing after it reads as the answer; the event that resolves that is the end of the turn, which a replay never carried. A reopened conversation sat holding its last sentence forever.

Answers come back in words: no ticks, no crosses, no stop signs. And since a saved transcript carried the instructions of the day it started, changing them used to reach new conversations only.
