@feecat feecat released this 14 Oct 12:39

LazerRave 0.1.0-beta.3 for Windows x64.

Changes

  • Simplify modern solo and multiplayer selection to 5K and 7K, retaining scratch and preserving legacy chart, score, replay and classic LR2 data.
  • Group settings by purpose and separate common, speed, lanes, practice and advanced play options. Ordinary setting changes no longer force a library rescan.
  • Add offline favorites, Ctrl+D support and a searchable recent-play view. Recent plays accumulate from this version and retain up to 100 unique charts.
  • Add frontend note-dominant BPM normalization, separate from automatic reading speed. Fresh installations enable normalization with base BPM 150 and manual multiplier 3.0; tempo changes remain intact.
  • Display the estimated integer SPEED parameter and refresh it when speed preferences change. Keep the normal-range base percentage stable to avoid unexpected SPEED jumps.
  • Set 5K defaults to S, D, F, Space, J, with A and semicolon for scratch: the first five lanes of the 7K layout. Existing customized bindings are retained.
  • Clear 2P bindings in fresh defaults and ask before clearing legacy 2P keyboard conflicts. Controller bindings are retained when resolving existing keyboard conflicts.
  • Record effective play speed and options for replay playback. Fix the key-binding dropdown startup layout error.

Installation

Download the Windows x64 ZIP, extract the complete folder to a writable location, and run LazerRave.exe. Keep its bundled dependencies and resources together. No separate .NET installation is required.

The package contains clean default settings and an empty local Player profile. Songs, accounts, scores and replays are not bundled. Put legally obtained BMS charts in BMS, or configure library directories in settings. Shared downloads use BMS/Shared. A SHA-256 checksum is provided separately.

Notes

This is a beta release. Frontend BPM analysis uses a stable branch for RANDOM charts; an actual randomized play can select a different branch. Please report issues on GitHub.

@feecat feecat released this 13 Oct 13:32

LazerRave 0.1.0-beta.2 for Windows x64.

Changes

  • Add animated vertical clear lamps to difficulty cards using each player's best eligible local clear result, with an option to hide them.
  • Fix unintended gameplay restarts after finishing a song or returning with Escape.
  • Replace osu!mania input bindings with native LR2 key configuration under Input settings. Configure 5/7/9-key modes and 1P/2P bindings in a dedicated list window; settings stay synchronized with classic LR2.
  • Correct key-binding button sizing and dropdown layering, and simplify the editor to a list.
  • Use D (DirectShow decoder) as the default embedded rendering preset and disable legacy frontend audio mode by default. Existing user preferences are preserved.

Installation

Download the Windows x64 ZIP, extract the complete folder to a writable location, and run LazerRave.exe. Keep its bundled dependencies and resources together. No separate .NET installation is required.

Fresh installations use a 1024 x 768 embedded game viewport at 240 FPS, a 1920 x 1080 windowed frontend, and the BMS folder beside the executable. Downloads and shared songs use BMS/Shared.

The package contains clean default settings and an empty local Player profile. Songs, accounts, scores, and replays are not bundled. A SHA-256 checksum is provided separately.
