Safari 17 comes with support for profiles. it would be useful to have a Shortcuts action to open a URL in a specific Safari profile. The existing “Open URLs” action opens URLs in the default browser, so it would make sense to add a “Open URLs in Safari” action that would also let you pick which profile to use.

It would also be useful to have a “Get Safari Profile” action to get a list of profiles so a user could create a prompt to decide which profile to use.

My personal use-case is that I develop a browser picker app called Velja which lets users create rules for which browser to use for specific URLs and they will want to be able to pick which profile to use.

This all sounds great an important. Just want to add, in case it's not inherently included in the above (I'm not quite sure).

My use case: Just open a window of the appropriate profile.

I like to close my windows constantly, then open a new one as needed, so a way to just say "open empty personal profile window" and "open empty work profile window". Optionally, it would be even better if it automatically brought-forward any existing window of that profile.

If there's already a way to do any of that, please let me know 🙏🏻

Not sure if it's helpful, but I found this issue when trying to solve this same problem, and I found you can actually tell Safari to always open specific URLs in specific profiles, if that's any help?

Thank you for the info. I know and I use this. However, sometimes I use the same URL in a personal, sometimes in a work profile. ATM, I can copy the URL and paste it into the right profile's window, but it's not very convenient. Having proper Safari profile support is essential for improved user experience.
