This article expands the contents of the Visual Studio Code template highlighting hot spots that contain absolute installation paths. These paths must be updated in the project template when using it with IAR toolchains other than the IAR Build Tools for Arm v10+ on Linux.
Fundamentally, search and replace the installation paths in the following files:
-
.vscode/settings.json (update
clangd.path) -
.clangd (update all installation paths in
-isystem) - iccarm.cmake (only needs updating when the tools are installed in custom locations)
When installed on its default location, replace /opt/iar/cxarm with /iar/ewarmc-10.xx.x (using the correct version information) in the aforementioned files.
