First release of PES 2021 ML Editor, an open-source editor for eFootball PES 2021 Master League saves, for Windows, macOS and Linux.

What you can edit

  • Transfer budget and salary budget, plus a one-click Maximum money button

  • Manager name (found automatically, also in patched databases)
  • Amounts shown in € / US$ / ¥ / £ / R$
  • Desktop app in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (follows the system language), with drag and drop

Which Mac do I have? Apple menu → About This Mac. If it says "Chip Apple M…", download aarch64; if it says "Processor Intel", download x86_64.

First launch

  • Windows: SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC" because the app is not code-signed. Click More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS: the app is not notarized by Apple. Right-click the app → Open → Open. On macOS 15 and later, if there is no Open button, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
  • Linux: extract the .tar.gz and run ./install.sh to add the app to your applications menu.

How to use

  1. Quit PES 2021.
  2. Open the editor and choose your save, e.g. Documents\KONAMI\eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE\<your ID>\ML00000001.
  3. Change the values and click Save. A timestamped backup is created next to the save first.

Keeping your save safe

  • A save is only editable if re-encrypting it unchanged reproduces the file byte for byte.
  • Only the bytes of the fields you change are written.
  • A backup is made before every save and is never overwritten.
  • Writing is atomic and verified afterwards; if the check fails, the previous contents are restored automatically.
  • The editor never connects to the internet and runs no other programs.

Verifying downloads

SHA256SUMS.txt lists the hash of every file. Each file also has a build provenance attestation from GitHub Actions:
