bpplay 0.9.1 — macOS Core edition

Bundled, zero-configuration drag-and-drop launcher. First GitHub downloader feedback showed that the manual Automator-app setup (documented in the v0.9 manual's drag-and-drop chapter) was too high a bar — people never got to try drop-based playback.

Added

  • bpplay drop.app, bundled directly in the DMG — a self-contained AppleScript droplet. Drop a file, several files, or an album folder onto its icon: a Terminal window opens and bit-perfect playback starts. It bundles its own copy of the bpplay binary and plays on the system's default output device — no setup needed.
  • READ_ME_FIRST.txt (English) alongside the existing OLVASD_EL_ELOSZOR.txt (Hungarian) in the DMG.
  • Reproducible build scripts: tools/build-drop-app.sh, tools/build-dmg.sh.

Changed

  • HU/EN user manuals updated (installation chapter, drag-and-drop chapter) to document the bundled drop app; the manual Automator-app recipe (tools/bpplay-drop.sh) remains documented as the advanced path for a fixed output device.
