Larger video file inputs

Currently the file size limit for ffmpeg wasm is 2GB, but we know that wasm supports up to 4GB in size. Is there any way to increase the size limit?

My browser on safari ios crashes even loading a 400MB .mov file sadly

            fetchFile(videoFile).then((result) => {
                ffmpeg.writeFile("source_video.mp4", result)
            })

This is enough to crash it

Is it really about the file size itself? Isn't the 2G or 4G the memory limit of wasm itself? If you uncompress the video and keep all the uncompressed frames in memory that could take up way more RAM as the file size of the original file.

I'm asking this because I'm curious! :-D

but looks like it's not in documentation yet

@bobbyohyeahYes, Its possible. Check out my example - I was able to trim 15GB video using the latest version with WORKERFS

The 4gb limit is only for the output files. E.g you can split 15gb video in 5 3GB parts with no issues.

Safari on ios crashes when I try to load a larger file (about 800MB) like so await ffmpeg.writeFile(inputFileName, await fetchFile(file));

Is there a way to work around this "limitation"? It works fine on chrome or safari on macos.
