v0.29.0 is a focused release on launch speed. rfa now opens about a third of a second sooner on a warm launch, and the first launch after an update no longer waits for the framework caches to rebuild.
What's new
- Launch timeline — Every launch records its phases from process start to the presented window.
rfa:launch-reportprints the marks and phases for the recent launches.
Improvements
- Post-update launch — The framework caches rebuild in the background while the window opens, instead of holding it for close to two seconds.
- Earlier PHP warm-up — The server starts before Electron is ready and its opcache warm-up leaves the moment it can accept a request.
- Lighter main process — The updater, context menu, and HTTP client load on first use, and the login shell PATH is cached between launches.
- Sooner window — The window is presented three frames earlier once the page has settled.
Fixes
- Stale views after an update — Compiled Blade and Livewire views from the previous version are dropped before the new version serves a page.
