Flippy 2.3: menus that close
The right-click menu and the Change pet cloud now close reliably when you click anywhere else, press Esc, switch windows, or move the cursor away for 4 seconds.
Flippy 2.2: the flip gang
- New pets: Flip the flip phone (now the default), Hopper the frog and Flapjack the pancake. Clawd (classic) is still there; the teal blob is retired.
- Menus close reliably (click elsewhere, Esc, switching windows, or moving away).
- A pet standing on a window falls off when that window gets covered (e.g. after Alt+Tab).
Install: download Flippy.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Flippy.cmd.
Flippy 2.1: meet Flippy
The app is now called Flippy, after its new default pet: a round teal blob with an arrow tuft that points the way he's going.
- Pick your pet: right-click → Change pet... (or Settings). Flippy, or Clawd (classic) for anyone who liked the orange one.
- Every behaviour works for every pet; each pet has its own signature move (Do your thing!). Flippy does a forward front flip.
- Your settings and his hunger levels carry over automatically, and the installer cleans up the old install.
Install: download Flippy.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Flippy.cmd (or just run Flippy.exe). Windows SmartScreen may warn because it's unsigned: More info → Run anyway.
Clawd 2.0
Clawd 2.0 is a rebuilt Clawd: a small native Clawd.exe instead of a PowerShell script.
Better graphics: real soft transparency, a shadow under him, a glow in the screen's colour during movie night, fading particles, smooth speech bubbles and thought-cloud menu, squash & stretch.
Fixes: never steals focus, stays above docks and auto-hide taskbars, handles DPI and multiple monitors, no more clipped spins or web-swing box, and about 6x less CPU (~3-4% of one core instead of ~22%).
New:
- Throw him around
- Feed him snacks
- Needs and moods (food, energy, fun, love)
- Drop files on him
- Reacts to battery, CPU, copying, late nights and music
- Settings window to toggle features, size, activity and chattiness
Install: download Clawd.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Clawd.cmd (or just run Clawd.exe). Windows SmartScreen may warn because it's unsigned: More info → Run anyway.
Clawd 1.3: web-slinger
- Every so often he suits up as a web-slinger and swings across your screen, shooting webs at the screen's edges or at your cursor
- Hero landing pose, then a poof back to normal
Install: download Clawd.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Clawd.cmd.
Clawd 1.2: trickshots
- The gun aims in every direction now, with a proper arm, rotating pistol and muzzle flash
- Trickshots: 360 no-scopes, no-look shots and ricochets off the floor
- Climbs windows by himself: he spots any reachable window top, runs over and jumps up
Install: download Clawd.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Clawd.cmd.
Clawd 1.1: movie night drama
- Gets mad when you pause the video, then sulks until you press play
- Sits anywhere under the video instead of always walking to the middle
- Running commentary while you watch
Install: download Clawd.zip, unzip it, and double-click Install Clawd.cmd.
