Modes

• Run and Diagnosis

Thread selection

• Automatic selection, amount set with -n
• -numa: steer selection toward a specific NUMA node, or use a policy (off or auto)
• -include / -exclude: prefer or avoid specific thread IDs
• -fence: reserve the non-selected sibling threads of the selected ones

Isolation

• -cgroup: confine the task in a cgroup v2 instead of classic pinning
• -steer: steer steerable IRQs toward the task and pause IRQBalance
• -rm-cgroup: remove the cgroup manually if an undiscovered bug leaves it open

Telemetry

• Collected remotely, without Inter-Processor Interrupts (IPIs)
• Metrics: IRQs, context switches, migrations, run queue, CPU frequency, IRQBalance state
• -interval: set the polling rate
