Herald v1.7.1 fixes the Start Talking crash and completes the production recovery release.
Highlights
- Requests microphone permission before capture and safely rejects unavailable audio input formats instead of crashing after the Talk orb activates.
- Wires the full Hermes → MiMo ASR/TTS Talk pipeline with visible readiness and recoverable failure states.
- Restores hosted-relay defaults, real pairing/session recovery, iPad Settings routing, cold-launch notification replies, and connector profile refresh.
- Adds Off/Low/Medium/High reasoning effort and persists it with each relay job.
- Repairs legacy SQLite foreign keys, timestamps, source sequences, and reasoning-effort schema.
- Removes fake word-by-word streaming for already-completed replies.
