v0.7.1 — live-API hotfix (is_leaf drift + table colour)
[0.7.1] - 2026-05-20 — Live-API hotfix: is_leaf schema drift + non-TTY table colour
Emergency patch. 0.7.0 shipped two defects that only surface
against the live Monday API (the test suite mocks the network
boundary, so all 4124 tests stayed green). No new commands, no
contract changes — strictly bug fixes. No breaking changes vs
0.7.0.
Fixed
is_leaffield removed from the board-metadata query (critical).
Monday removedis_leaffrom theBoardtype at API2026-01
(confirmed by introspection —hierarchy_typeis still valid).
The sharedBOARD_METADATA_QUERYstill selected it, so Monday
rejected the whole query withvalidation_failed("Cannot query
field "is_leaf" on type "Board""). Because that query backs
loadBoardMetadata→ the column-name resolver, this broke every
board-metadata path:board describe/columns/groups/
doctor,item list/search, and all--set/--set-raw
column writes onitem create/update/set(the column-
value path prequeries board metadata). Against live2026-01the
CLI was effectively read-by-ID + bare-create only. The query no
longer selectsis_leaf; theboard describeoutput preserves
theis_leafkey asnull(non-breaking per §6.1 — removing the
key is deferred to the next major).- Table output no longer leaks ANSI colour into pipes.
cli-table3
colours its borders grey unconditionally, so--output table
forced through a pipe emitted^[[90m/^[[39maround every box
character. Colour is now gated on stdout TTY-ness and honours
NO_COLOR/FORCE_COLOR/--no-color(cli.md"Respect
NO_COLOR"). The non-TTY default was already JSON, so this only
affected explicitly-forced piped tables.
Internal
- Added a
RUN_LIVE_TESTS-gated e2e smoke test
(tests/e2e/live-schema-drift.test.ts) that runs the exact
productionBOARD_METADATA_QUERYagainst the live API and asserts
no GraphQL errors — catches theis_leafclass of field drift
before release. Skipped in normal CI; run via
RUN_LIVE_TESTS=1 MONDAY_API_TOKEN=... npm run test:e2e.
Known limitations (unchanged, not regressions)
monday board column-create --type board_relation --settingsstill
rejectsboardIds/boardId/allowMultipleItems— a deliberate
M19 limitation (Monday has no documentedcreate_column.defaults
shape for linked boards), not a regression. Adding writable
Connect-Boards settings is a v0.8 feature pending a wire probe.
