0.4.1
ARIL 0.4.1 improves session context awareness, Judge readability, cost footers, and idle status reliability.
Builds are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple — no Gatekeeper workaround needed.
Requirements
- Apple Silicon Mac (M-series) with macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer
- An OpenRouter API key (
sk-or-v1-…) with a small credit balance — add a few dollars at openrouter.ai before your first chat
Install
- Download ARIL-0.4.1.dmg
- Open the disk image and drag ARIL into Applications
- Launch ARIL (Solo mode starts the bundled gateway)
- Open Preferences → General and paste your OpenRouter API key
What's new
Context awareness
- Per-session context-usage bar in the sidebar
- Warns before a session hits the model context limit (option to start a new session)
- Context limits come from the gateway (
/v1/meta/limits) - Fresh session on launch by default; opt into reopening the last session in Preferences → Startup
- Empty unused sessions are discarded on quit; sidebar header is Recent Sessions
Judge mode
- Compare panels fill the chat width evenly and grow taller toward the toolbar
- Previous transcript is blanked while Judge results are showing
Cost & status
- Reply footers show OpenRouter in/out token counts:
tokens used N / M: cost = $x.xxxx - Status footer polls every 20s (gateway, database, OpenRouter), wakes the Solo gateway on failure, and refreshes on app focus — idle no longer leaves indicators stuck red
