0.4.6
ARIL 0.4.6 — Identity, guardrails, and readable replies
Point release with the new ARIL mark, safer local guardrails, OpenRouter key
persistence fixes, and chat rendering that keeps structure while streaming.
Builds are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple — no Gatekeeper
workaround needed.
Install
- Download ARIL-0.4.6.dmg
- Open the disk image and drag ARIL into Applications
- Launch ARIL (Solo mode starts the bundled gateway)
- Open Preferences → Subscription to sign in with OpenRouter or paste an API key
If you already have ARIL 0.4.2+, you can also run /update in chat.
What's new in 0.4.6
Branding
- New app icon and in-chat logo (empty session / About / assistant row).
- Waiting for a reply shows a spinning gold arrow in the logo style.
- Click the ARIL title to open About (info toolbar button removed).
Preferences & tools
- Log Analysis lives in the toolbar next to Model popularity.
- Local guardrails (Preferences → Subscription): redact sensitive info;
block prompt-injection patterns before send.
OpenRouter
- OAuth / saved keys persist across relaunch (Application Support
.env
plus UserDefaults recovery).
Chat readability & streaming
- Assistant Markdown/math renders with real line breaks (no wall of text).
- Live token streaming paints again (message list no longer rebuilds on
every chunk).
Requirements
- Apple Silicon Mac (M-series) with macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer
- An OpenRouter API key with a small credit balance
