Cannot take screenshots on LXQt

Current git master cannot take screenshots on LXQt, when I attempt to do that, first noting happens, then I get the following error after 30s:

flameshot: error: Screenshot portal timed out after 30 seconds
flameshot: error: Unable to capture screen

Presumably because xdg-desktop-portal-lxqt doesn't seem to provide screenshot functionality (this then probably breaks screenshots for anyone else not using xdg-desktop-portals too).

2. try to take a screenshot

Yes I moved all Linux backends to use xdg portals. I would recommend installing another backend or opening a bug report with the lxqt team.

I don't think hard dependence on xdg-desktop-portals is a good decision.
For anyone else looking, until LXQt adds screenshot support, downgrading to 13.1.0 solves both this and the multimonitor-related issues I was hoping to resolve by trying to run git head.

I had the same errors, albeit on Sway. Arch linux too, having used AUR's flameshot-git to install Flameshot.

What fixed it for me was installing xdg-desktop-portal-gtk. I already had xdg-desktop-portal and xdg-desktop-portal-wlr but this wasn't enough. I hope that helps.
I don't know much about these portals, I thought they were meant to be necessary for specific desktop environments, not apps.

The solution is to install the portal and working with lxqt to add screenshot support. If lxqt is not inclined to, you can install the gtk or any other backend.
