v2.17.0 — Hear it first. Then choose what the hosts may use.
Start with music. Add the home layer when you decide it belongs in the show.
Hear it first
No AI key is required for a first listen. Without an AI provider key, the hosts use stock copy and no Home Assistant context is sent to an AI provider.
First audio still needs a reachable music source. Live charts need outbound network access; the Home Assistant app can use Jamendo with a client ID.
For a physical speaker, install the optional HACS companion integration and play the station through Home Assistant rather than relying on browser playback. If you also want that integration to own the media_player.mammamiradio card, use its ownership switch to avoid competing updates. The switch is not needed for the Media Source speaker route.
Choose what the hosts may use
When you add an AI key, review the Home context preview first. Mute any entity you do not want used in a future host break, or turn Host home context off. A mute affects future use; it cannot rewrite audio that is already queued or on air.
A steadier station
First audio and recovery are more dependable. The listener and control room now say when the station is paused, reconnecting, or ready, and the visible queue reflects audio that is actually prepared to play.
Also in this release
- Record Hunt now has a more audible effect on rotation.
- The quality dial selects distinct creative tiers.
- When a home moment reaches the show, listeners see a generic trace while the control room keeps the detailed record.

Feedback is voluntary. Please do not include credentials, entity names, or private Home Assistant state.
The release includes the current Home context preview and per-entity mute. It does not add a per-moment consent or revoke flow.
