Split the main CLI implementation into focused modules for arguments, search/context payloads, rendering, batch JSONL, warm-worker control, call parsing, path handling, and the operation bridge while preserving the existing public memd::cli::* compatibility paths.
Replaced wildcard MCP handler exports/imports with explicit public exports so future operation-layer moves are reviewable and do not silently shrink the Rust API surface.
Moved the shared operation handler implementation out of mcp/handlers.rs into the protocol-neutral ops module, leaving the historical memd::mcp::handlers::* path as a compatibility re-export.
Migrated the eval harness away from the removed memd --mode mcp process startup path. The harness now has a current CLI contract suite, a CliClient for memd call, and a temporary MCP-shaped compatibility wrapper for older behavior suites.
Archived the retired protocol-only MCP conformance suite in evals/legacy_mcp_conformance.md.
Refreshed repo-wide rustfmt output in a dedicated style commit so future formatter checks are meaningful.
Fixed
Eval-harness help and package metadata now describe the CLI-first executable instead of MCP conformance.
Warm-worker sockets now fall back to a short temp-directory path when the configured data directory would exceed Unix socket path length limits.
Release metadata and memd-wiki lockstep package versions now align with the 0.30.0 binary release.
