What's Changed
- New feature: syslog logging. Anaconda is configured to send logs to Forester via syslog protocol, see new command
system logsto investigate logs. - New feature: OpenAPI specification file. The RPC REST API has auto-generated YAML specification.
- New feature: Python OpenAPI REST client: https://github.com/foresterorg/forester-client-python
- New feature: noop and redfish_manual appliances. These can be used to manually (or semi-manually) operate power.
- New feature: Snippets. Users can now create snippets (Kickstart syntax) and associate them with systems in order to further customize installation. A custom snippet is an ad-hoc string that can be used to customize installation without creating any snippet.
- System name is can be edited now, see
system renamecommand. - Libvirt is now shutting down VM to change boot order, but if a VM is not booted into linux shutdown command is ignored thus the reinstallation can fail. Manual force-shutdown and start is required in this case.
