Add this phone for unlock by scanning Sapwood's code.

In Sapwood, choose Add a phone (Device, After a power cut). Sapwood shows a one-off QR that lasts ten minutes. In Cambium, tap Set up phone unlock, then Scan Sapwood's code. You no longer carry a long code from the phone to the computer by hand.

  • The reply is private. It is sealed with NIP-44 to that one Sapwood page, and sent once from a throwaway key. Its only tags are the one-off rendezvous and a NIP-40 expiry. If no relay takes it, Retry resends the same event.
  • The rest is unchanged. You still compare the five request words across the phone, Sapwood and the board's card before holding its button, and the check code still appears afterwards. Sapwood abandons the invite if two different phones answer the same code.
  • Show a code instead keeps the old direction, for an older Sapwood.

Needs Sapwood from 2026-09-26 or later. Firmware is unchanged; any Heartwood on 0.18.0-beta.19 or later works.
