audit: ruthless audit umbrella — architecture, drift, standards, and ideas #16

Description

@forkwright

Purpose

This is the umbrella issue for the ruthless audit pass on
env:hamma

The audit bar is:

  • kanon standards and philosophy
  • live repo and tracker truth over stale prose
  • roadmap / STATE / open-issue accounting before any new finding is filed
  • external best-in-class comparison for findings where it materially changes the claim
  • idea capture as well as defects, but without duplicating existing backlog

Scope

  • standards and philosophy violations
  • docs / STATE / ROADMAP drift
  • architecture coherence and dependency shape
  • testing and observability gaps
  • operational and workflow defects that materially affect the repo
  • strong ideas that clearly fit the roadmap or close a structural gap

Rules Of Engagement

  • Existing open issues, epics, and planning docs must be accounted for before creating child issues.
  • Distinct child issues should exist only when the finding is independently actionable.
  • Cross-project findings should link back to the kanon platform/meta audit when appropriate.

Child Findings

Links to child issues will be appended here as the audit proceeds.

Done Criteria

  • Every material finding is mapped to an existing issue, this umbrella, or a new child issue.
  • Duplicate issue creation is avoided by explicit cross-reference.
  • The final audit leaves a decision-ready backlog, not just prose notes.
