PearConnect 0.3.0-beta.3 — Visual studio

PearConnect 0.3.0-beta.3 adds a visual studio for your music and stream.

• Live now-playing: player artwork, total length, elapsed time, remaining time and pause state, refreshed from Pear Desktop every two seconds. Artwork is fetched on change and processed locally; missing images and stale timing have clear fallback states.
• Visual studio: Cover, Compact and Minimal OBS layouts, dark/light/transparent surfaces, custom accents, fonts, headings, artwork visibility, timing and optional ambient motion. Preview edits locally before saving; sample-preview data never reaches OBS.
• Private OBS browser source: optional read-only localhost server, a separate encrypted credential, link rotation and no playback/request controls. Keep PearConnect open on the OBS computer.
• Personalization: Aurora, Ink, Dusk and Grid backgrounds; three interface fonts; comfortable text sizing; Pear, Orchid and Ember icon presets. The Windows executable includes a real Pear icon instead of Electron's default.
• Optional Last.fm: your own encrypted API key enables genre tags, aggregate listener/scrobble counts, a catalogue link and similar-track suggestions in Desktop. Disabled by default. No suggestions are automatically queued; no Last.fm artwork or data is published into OBS.
• Website refresh: original sample artwork, an interactive widget-style selector, updated app preview and visual-studio documentation.

Ambient motion follows play/pause and is decorative, not an audio-reactive visualizer. The app does not capture microphone/system audio. Spotify playback is not included; Pear Desktop remains the player. Last.fm needs your own key and compliance with its API terms, including a separate agreement for commercial use.

Install: close your old PearConnect instance, extract the complete ZIP into a new folder and run PearConnect.exe. Keep the runtime files together. No separate Node.js or Git installation is required. Existing Windows user-data settings remain available. Requests start paused; recreate session codes after restarting Desktop.

This is an unsigned Windows x64 preview. Validation includes 83 Node tests, 12 smoke checks, 17 C# bridge checks, real Electron artwork/clock/style checks, real Chromium OBS-source and 320–1440px website checks, and existing session-code/dashboard regressions. Controlled player/image fixtures were used. Live Last.fm access with your key, real Pear Desktop/OBS behavior, fresh-machine onboarding and sustained streaming still need a rehearsal.

PearConnect 0.3.0-beta.2 — Guided validation and session codes

PearConnect 0.3.0-beta.2 adds an interactive connection test and an optional website song-request fallback.

• Setup guide → Start guided test: check Pear Desktop, send a unique command from live chat, and test a real song search without enqueueing it or consuming request slots. Enable requests deliberately after the checks pass.
• Session-code fallback: create a code lasting 15 minutes to 24 hours, share it with viewers, and use the same local queue manager for their requests.
• Paired dashboard: open it securely from Desktop to adjust expiry, enable/pause website intake, view results or end the session. Viewer codes never grant dashboard access.
• Website requests pause TikTok command intake to avoid overlapping routes. Anonymous names cannot bypass restricted request lists. Website limits are shared by viewers on the same network.
• The Cloudflare relay never automatically redelivers a claimed request. If an outcome is uncertain, check the player before retrying.

Install: download the ZIP, extract the complete folder and run PearConnect.exe. Close the old PearConnect instance first. Keep the included runtime files together; no separate Node.js or Git installation is needed. Existing settings remain in your Windows user-data folder. Requests start paused after launch, and session codes must be recreated after restarting Desktop.

Automated tests use controlled player/chat fixtures, real local sockets, Cloudflare's local runtime, Chromium and Electron. Real TikTok delivery, audible playback, fresh-machine onboarding and sustained stream testing remain acceptance work.

Validation: 77 engine tests, 12 smoke checks, 17 C# contract checks, 5 relay integration tests, Electron walkthrough, browser pairing/request/expiry/pause/end checks at 320–1440px, and dependency audits with no reported vulnerabilities. All nine CI jobs passed for the release source.

PearConnect 0.3.0-beta.1 — Windows desktop preview

PearConnect Desktop preview for Windows x64, built from fc15105.

Download the ZIP, extract the complete folder, and open PearConnect.exe. The runtime is included; Node.js, npm and Git are not required for desktop users. SHA256SUMS.txt provides the archive checksum.

Includes the shared desktop/CLI engine, Simple TikFinity input, Advanced Streamer.bot integration, encrypted desktop authorization, request rules, pause/resume, diagnostics, and the original PearConnect desktop redesign.

This is an unsigned portable preview. Real-platform and fresh-machine acceptance remain outstanding. History is session-only; per-user queue tracking is approximate; Simple mode has no TikTok chat reply channel. Queue cancellation, removal and reordering are not included.
