Reusing Assignments

Is there an easy way to reuse an assignment in another classroom or bulk copy assignments from one classroom to another?

There is a copy icon next to an assignment. Click it and select the classroom where you want the assignment to be used.

We don't support bulk copy assignments currently.

the copy only works for classrooms in the same organization, is there a way to reuse assignments across different organizations?

We don't currently support that.

@profe If we support copying an assignment from one organization to another, and the source assignment references a template, does that mean the template would also need to be copied over? Right now, Classroom 50 doesn't have any cross-organization operations.

At a minimum, I imagine the target organization would also need to have Classroom 50 set up, and both organizations would need to be using the same latest configuration files. So there would be more things to keep track of, but it's not impossible.

@rongxin-liu yes that would be fine in my use case, which comes from GitHub Classroom and creating a GitHub organization for each classroom I would teach. It also made it easier to wipe out the class repos by deleting the org at the end of the semester (or the more common scenario: wiping out an org and rebuilding it when GitHub Classroom would have some wild errors that would mess up the org). Some additional context, I have a separate org for all the public templates, and created my classroom org for Classroom 50. Had to give oauth access to that separate org for Classroom 50 to access but it worked fine to create assignments from those templates
