A demonstration of distributed synchronisation of musical nodes, available as iOS, MATLAB, and Max/MSP implementations.
A demonstration of distributed synchronisation of musical nodes.
A PureData implementation can be run on your iOS device using MobMuPlat. Install the MobMuPlat app on your device and add the PD patch and the GUI file to the MobMuPlat folder.
A MATLAB simulation is also available, enabling animation of the individual phases and frequencies of all nodes (fireflySimulation.m, included in this repository).
The Max/MSP version supports real-time simulation and parameter manipulation. The system was originally prototyped in Max.
Videos demonstrating the system — the original Max prototype, the system running on iPods/iPhone/iPad, and the Matlab simulation — are included in this repository under videos/.
