In this release all demo files are identical for both ModelSim and Questa, because DESim no longer needs a .vpi DLL in the sim folder of each project. Instead, the simulator being used is selected in DESim_run.bat, and either modelsim.vpi or questa.vpi is used for each project. This version fixes a bug in the backend that did not support VGA resolutions 640x480 and 320x240. In this version the sample projects have been rewritten to be easier to understand, especially the ps2_demo. The VGA display within DESim provides 24-bit color in this version, whereas previous versions had only 3-bit color. All tutorials have been rewritten for this version, to provide improved clarity and consistency. This release does not include support for Linux--use a previous release (21.1) if DESim is being used with Linux.
