Subcommand definitions accept aliases: [...]. An alias resolves to the same definition, and the reported command path and matched_rule use the canonical name while argv keeps what was typed. A match rule written for the canonical path therefore also catches the alias. An alias that collides with a sibling subcommand or with another alias is rejected at load time with a message naming the file and the alias.
glab ci declares its deprecated aliases pipe and pipeline, so glab pipeline view 1000 resolves to glab ci view.
Changed
Classification of glab pipe ... and glab pipeline ... now equals that of the corresponding glab ci ... subcommand. Read subcommands drop from EXTERNAL_EFFECTS/MEDIUM to READONLY/LOW; glab pipeline delete rises to DANGEROUS/HIGH. Auto-allow hooks will see the aliased spellings behave like ci.
A top-level aliases: key on a command definition is an error; use an alias_of file for a command-level alias.
