OpenCode Notch 0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@fraches05 fraches05 released this 23 Oct 19:51

A macOS-style notch for Windows that watches your OpenCode sessions — approvals, forms, live agent activity and context usage at the top of your screen.

Install

  1. Download OpenCodeNotch-win-x64.zip below.
  2. Unzip it anywhere.
  3. Run OpenCode Notch.exe.

Requires Windows 10/11 and OpenCode 2.x with its background service available. No plugin, no API key, no configuration.

The build is not code-signed, so SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway. You can always build it yourself with npm run dist.

What is in this release

  • Notch pill at the top edge, hover to expand, Ctrl+Alt+N to pin
  • Permission approvals (Allow once / Always / Reject) with a soft chime
  • Interactive agent forms with real inputs, conditional fields and validation
  • Live activity line: current tool, command or streamed reasoning
  • Per-session context usage ctx 89.6k / 200k · 45%, tokens and cost
  • Quick reply and interrupt without leaving the app you are in
  • Multi-monitor aware, remembers its position, optional launch at login, tray menu

Known limitations

  • Unsigned build — SmartScreen warning on first run
  • Windows only (that is the point of it)
  • No auto-update yet
  • If OpenCode changes its API, the header shows reconnecting…; logs live in %TEMP%\opencode-notch.log
