Overview
Fractal Bitcoin v0.4.0 is a major consensus upgrade that introduces native FB support on the Bitcoin mainnet. All node operators should upgrade before block height 2,100,000 to ensure full compatibility with the upgraded network rules.

Upgrade Requirements
- All node operators must upgrade to v0.4.0 before activation height
- Miners and mining pools no need to update mining software
Core Features
At the height of the first scheduled subsidy halving, an additional one-time halving will be applied. This further reduces the block subsidy from that height onward.
Known Issues and Limitations
Version 0.4.0 tightens the consensus rules at block height 2,100,000. Because the new rules are more restrictive, non-mining nodes running an older version may continue following the chain after activation, but they will not independently enforce the newly introduced consensus requirements. Upgrading is therefore strongly recommended for all participants.
