Release list
Trasloco 1.1.3
- Work folders left by an import or export that stopped halfway (for example a large upload cut off by the connection) are now removed after a day, so they no longer take up disk space on the server.
- Removed a PHP 8.1 deprecation notice logged on every export of a site whose address has no path.

Trasloco 1.1.2
Fixes a fatal error on activation when All-in-One WP Migration is active on the same site. Both plugins bundled a template library with the same class name (Bandar); Trasloco's copy now has its own name, so the two plugins can be installed side by side. Tested on PHP 7.4.33 and 8.2.

Trasloco 1.1.1
Fixes found while moving a real site to a Keliweb staging server.
- Upload no longer stops at 0% behind strict hosting firewalls. Some firewalls turn any request over about 1 MB into an error page. A refused chunk is now sent again at half the size (down to 64 KB), so the upload carries on by itself.
- Chunk size leaves room for the base64 encoding, so hosts with a small
post_max_sizework too. - No more "imported" when the database was not. If the database cannot be read from the file, the import stops and says so. Database commands that fail are listed as a warning on the final screen instead of being ignored.

Trasloco 1.1.0
Trasloco 1.1.0 makes every page explain itself, adds a Guide, and fixes guessable backup file names.
Easier to use
- Export says what goes into the file and what never does. Every option has a one-line explanation. It no longer asks for the new site address: the import replaces the old address by itself, and the email domain too (you can turn that off).
- Import starts with a checklist (back up, old login at hand, free disk space, keep the tab open), explains each stage, asks for confirmation with a clear "Cancel, keep this site as it is" button, and ends with four next steps.
- Backups explains Download, Restore and Delete, and who can download the files.
- New Guide page: glossary, how to move a site step by step, every option, what to do when something goes wrong, WP-CLI commands.
- Progress and error messages in plain words. Disk-space and file-permission errors show a plain explanation first and the technical details below.
Security
- Backup file names now end with a 12-character random code instead of a 3-digit number. The backups folder is reachable from the web, so the old names could be guessed. If you have backups made with 1.0.0, download them and delete them from the server.
Accessibility
- Real buttons, named dialogs, progress announced to screen readers, focus returns where it was, the page behind the progress window is inert, no endless animation.
Languages
- English, Italian, Spanish, French and German: 282 strings, all in
languages/translations.php.

Trasloco 1.0.0
First stable release of Trasloco: a free, open source plugin to back up and migrate WordPress sites.
Install: download trasloco.zip below, then in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate Trasloco.
What's in it
- Export the whole site (database, media, themes, plugins) to one
.wpressfile and import it anywhere, with no size limit. - Chunked, base64-encoded upload: gets past hosting firewalls that block binary uploads, and a retried chunk is never written twice.
- Find and replace on export, safe for serialized data.
- Export, Import and Backups pages with a progress bar.
- Interface in English, Italian, Spanish, French and German. All translations live in
languages/translations.php. - WP-CLI:
wp trasloco backup,wp trasloco restore <file>. - Hardened request handling: storage and archive names are validated, archive entries cannot escape the destination folder, constant-time secret key check.
Tested
On local WordPress 7.1 with PHP 8.2, including a full import of a real 1.64 GB site. Not yet tested on a real host behind a firewall, nor on PHP 7.4: reports are welcome.
